Microsoft Announces Imagine Cup 2012 Worldwide Finalists

Students around the globe have been waiting in anticipation to learn whether they will advance to the Imagine Cup 2012 Worldwide Finals.  Today, we are announcing 106 teams who will have the honor of representing their countries in Sydney, Australia, this July to present their technology solutions and compete for cash and prizes. This year’s teams will represent their countries/regions with projects that address some of the world’s toughest problems, including health, accessibility and environmental sustainability, and more.

What began as a student competition in 2003 with 1,000 students from 25 countries has evolved over the past 10 years and grown enormously. As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Imagine Cup, we also celebrate the 1.65 million students from 190 countries that have participated in the competition since its creation and the incredible impact they have had on the world.
